It’s been a while since I posted anything here. Now it’s time to catch up.

Here’s some illustrations I have done for Anna magazine during last months.

First one is about worst midsummer memories. Midsummer is a big party time here in Finland and many people spend it with family and relatives, usually in the countryside. This woman had to go to sauna with the whole family of his new boyfriend, naked of course.

Second one is about the woman who speaks nice even though she has just divorced her unfaithful husbend.

Third one is about borrowing money from friends and possibly losing them because not paying back on time.

Fourth one is about importance of daydreaming.

Illustration about tooth whitening techniques. Client, Hyvä Terveys -magazine (~Good Healt), asked something with bunny or beaver. I used John William Waterhouse’s painting Echo and Narcissus as a starting point for this picture of narcissistic beaver.

People have different roles and strategies in Social networks.

Seller shows these new shoes to a consumer and tells about modifying possibilities. People start to talk about the shoes, and planning their own creations. Sales go sky-high!

Times are not good and it seems to reflect on subjects of my assignments too. These two illustrations are for Anna magazine, two diffrent issues but same series. Both are quite sad stories. In death of a friend -picture (above) I tried to catch the feeling of fading memories. In brother’s illness -picture (below) I used tied hands to represent feeling of not being able to do anything to help.

It’s always nice to draw mythological characters in strange context. Here’s Hermes, the messenger of gods, in a illustration about flight socks.
